Let Go and Live
There is a rest that is deeper than simply taking a break.
It is a place where anxiety no longer has to dominate our thoughts, where we begin to release our need to control everything, and where our bodies, minds, and spirits are given room to become quiet, restored, and renewed.
This is the Journey of Rest.
It is an invitation to let go and live—to experience more fully the peace, presence, purpose, and joy God has for us.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.”
— Psalm 23:2–3

Rest Is the Foundation
Rest is not simply something we do when everything else is finished.
Rest is the foundation from which we live.
When we learn to live from a place of rest, we create room for healing, renewal, clarity, strength, and peace.
Our bodies were created with rhythms of activity and restoration. During periods of rest and sleep, important processes of recovery and repair take place. Our minds also need space away from constant stimulation and stress.
Spiritually, rest takes us even deeper.
It is a place of trust.
Instead of living continually driven by fear, worry, pressure, or the need to control what happens next, we learn to rest in God's presence and trust His care for us.
From that foundation, we are better able to care for our health, nurture relationships, serve others, pursue our purpose, and enjoy the life God has given us.
We don't rest so that we can escape life.
We rest so that we can more fully live it.

Rest Is a Journey
We don't always arrive at rest easily.
Sometimes the pathway into rest takes us through challenges, struggles, uncertainty, and anxiety.
Psalm 23 paints this picture beautifully.
There are green pastures and quiet waters, but there is also a valley.
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”
The valley isn't the destination.
We walk through it.
And God is with us as we do.
Rest can be a process of learning to release what we have been carrying, surrender what we cannot control, and trust the One who is leading us.

Let Go
Many of us carry more than we realize.
We carry yesterday.
We carry tomorrow.
We carry disappointments, responsibilities, expectations, unanswered questions, and the constant pressure to figure everything out.
But what if we didn't have to carry all of it?
Jesus repeatedly invited people away from fear and worry and into trust.
In the Sermon on the Mount, He pointed to the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. They do not live consumed by tomorrow. They live within the provision of their Creator.
Jesus asks us:
“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
The Journey of Rest begins when we start loosening our grip.
We release the past.
We release tomorrow.
We release our need to control every outcome.
And little by little, we learn to trust.
A Place of Healing and Renewal
Rest isn't only spiritual.
Our bodies need rest too.
There is a reason we sleep. There is a reason our bodies ask us to slow down. Rest gives the body an opportunity to restore, repair, and renew itself.
When stress continually dominates our lives, our bodies feel it.
The Journey of Rest therefore includes caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.
Sleep matters.
Water matters.
Rest matters.
Movement, breathing, time in nature, healthy relationships, quiet moments, laughter, prayer, and simply allowing ourselves to stop all have a place in a life of wellness.
This is where Faith • Wellness • Nature come together.
Rest isn't withdrawing from life.
Rest helps prepare us to live it.
Let Go and Live
My own Journey of Rest has become a journey of learning to let go of anxiety, release control, and live more freely in the peace, presence, and joy of God.
It is learning to embrace each day as an adventure with Him.
To trust Him to renew my strength.
To enjoy life.
To build meaningful relationships.
To serve others.
To discover purpose.
And to receive more fully the love and joy God has already prepared for us.
That is why this journey isn't simply about resting more.
It is about living differently.
Enter Into Rest
You don't have to understand the entire journey today.
You only need to begin.
Slow down.
Take a breath.
Become aware of this moment.
Release what you don't need to carry right now.
And remember that you are not walking alone.
The Shepherd who leads beside quiet waters is also the Shepherd who walks with us through the valley.
There is more ahead.
More peace.
More freedom.
More healing.
More life.
Let go. Enter into rest. And live.
Find Rest. Find Peace. Keep Your Eyes on Christ.
